Meet our Kindergarten Team!

Teacher: Kim Donoho
Mrs. Donoho grew up on a wheat farm in Kansas. She earned her Bachelor of Science and Master of Science Degrees in Elementary Education from Kansas State University. In her thirty years in education, she has taught fourth and first grades and kindergarten, adult ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) students, and college seniors in Elementary Education at Kansas State University. But, her absolute favorite grade to teach is KINDERGARTEN!
She and her family moved to Southern Oregon in 2018. Her husband, Ron, is also an educator and administrator at SWCS.
They have two daughters: Chelsea, who lives in Portland, and Alyssa, the Youth Services Librarian for Josephine Community Libraries in Grants Pass.
Kim’s “favorites” include hiking, gardening, baking, traveling, and reading. She loves working with the wonderful and caring staff at SWCS!

Teaching Assistant: Sarah Barnes
Mrs. Barnes earned her Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education from Rogue Community College. She has worked with young children since 2000. Her experience is with preschool, special education, and kindergarten.
Sarah and her husband Treavor have a daughter, Rylin, and a son, Reece. They moved to Southern Oregon in 2004 and love living in the forest!
She enjoys playing soccer, crocheting, embroidery, and sewing. She also enjoys reading and being outdoors. Her favorite food is pizza!
